Sand Pit

The kids and I took a walk down to our mailbox last week. Silas drove his tractor while I pushed Brooke in the stroller. There is a big sand pit behind our mailbox, Si just couldn't resist. We decided to hang out there for awhile and play in the sand. It is not quite like the beach, but hey we were outside- that was all that mattered. There is a big hill that Si kept running up and down, until he had a wipe out and decided that was enough. Brooke didn't quite know what to think of the sand on her bare feet at first. Once she figured it was okay, she had a lot of fun. We walked over to a nearby pond to let the dog have a quick swim. Si thought he wanted to wade in the water until he felt how cold it was. They really had fun exploring somewhere other than our yard. Hopefully the weather decides to stop teasing us and warm up so we can have more days like these.

New Posts

Just wanted to let you all know that I have two new posts coming in the next few days. The kids and I took a walk down to our mailbox and I actually had my camera- I got some cute pictures of the kiddos playing. We also had a fun and interesting camping trip with our friends this weekend! Some really cute pictures and stories to share with you. Until then- there are 4 posts that are fairly recent. I just added A Fun Saturday today, but it posted after the first 2 since I started it before them. So scroll down and enjoy! Hope everyone enjoyed or is still enjoying their Memorial Day weekend!

SK8TR BOY

We have been asking Silas for awhile now what kind of birthday he wants to have. I want him to have a pirate party- I have so many ideas! But he wants a "skateboard party at the beach". How we are going to incorporate those two things- I haven't quite figued that one out. If anyone has suggestions, fork 'em over. He absolutely loves skateboards or anything that has to do with them. I finally got a good picture of him on his skateboard. This is like his absolute favorite indoor toy. He loves it! And he is pretty good for a 3 year old. He can ride it going straight and he can 'ollie' (for those of you who do not know this term- I will just say this- the board actually comes off the ground) and he lands it. I will try and film it sometime and show you. We think it is pretty cool and it makes his Dad proud!
Maybe you're looking at the next Tony Hawk!

Decal

I finally put my decal on my car this weekend. I have had it since November, but since you are supposed to apply it at a certain temperature I wasn't able to do it until now.
I was just so excited that I had to take a picture. I am official!

A Fun Saturday!

I'm finally on top of things and posted some pictures. I want to bring attention to the new pictures along the side. In Brooke's picture you can kind of see her earrings. Her Grandma Lisa pierced her ears awhile back and I realized the other day that I never posted. One more note that we are absolutely thrilled to announce- no we're not prego- NO MORE PACI for Brooke. She threw the last one in the trash over a week ago. YEAH!!!! Anyways, hope you enjoy he new posts.
Two weekends ago was
the Soldotna Safety Day and we actually had decent weather. A slight breeze kept things a little chilly but it was good to be outside for most of the day. The kids got their faces painted- how cute! I could not believe Brooke actually sat still and let the lady do that, it was so cute though, when everyone else was done getting theirs painted on she just sat down in the chair for her turn. Silas really wanted Batman on his face, somehow the lady convinced him that a spider would do. We got our free car-seat check with everything A okay. Apparantly I do something right!
After a quick trip to the store we headed home for a nap. Of course my kids had other plans. The weather was nice so it was time to spend the rest of the day outside. We had 5 loads of dirt brought in to start working on our yard/driveway. It is amazing how much fun dirt is. Brooke doesn't climb up in it, but she likes watching Si. Si has all sorts of dump trucks and loaders that are permanently parked there. The John Deere tractor always provides hours of entertainment. Silas has a track made on the back side of the house, he cruises all the time. Brooklyn will get on anytime she sees it not being used. Occasionally, she will accidentally push the pedal and make it go. She thinks it is so much fun! Brooke had so much fun doing the slide all by herself. Everytime I would try to help her she would just yell "Me, Me!" She is getting so big and talking so much. She was able to play with our outdoor toys that have been put away for so long. She really liked watching all the airplanes flying by too. Silas was just enjoying playing outside.

Our dog Kodi now loves to spend 90% of the day outside. She has made a friend from a house nearby. His name is Lightning. They are always wrestling around.
Our family friend Mike dropped by with his new toy and took each of the kids for a ride. They had a ton of fun today! We are looking forward to a lot more fun outside this summer!
We have a big weekend coming up. We are going camping with a bunch of friends from church. We all have kids around the same age- it should be a blast. I am praying for nice weather! I am looking forward to posting pictures! Hope you all enjoy your Memorial Day weekend!

When Daddy's in Charge

I came home from softball practice the other day and this is how I found my Brookie. Fast asleep on the couch. When Daddy is in charge- he tends to just leave them where they lie instead of putting them in their bed. Another thing you may notice in the picture is her shoes. She has a major shoe fetish and wants them on all time whether they match or are even ten sizes too big. Today I guess she was going for the preppy sport look!
A FUTURE TRENDSETTER!!
